Halle Berry gave birth to a beautiful baby girl Sunday. Her rep confirms that “she is very happy and is doing great!” The proud father is Berry’s boyfriend, Gabriel Aubry. According to a source, both “are extremely excited and cannot wait to bring their bundle of joy home.” In addition, this is the first child for both of the happy parents.
In November 2005, Berry and Aubry met while shooting at a Versace ad in Los Angeles. Three months later, they publically appeared together at the grand opening of the Versace boutique in New York City. Since then the pair have been inseparable. In September 2006, the love birds happily announced Berry’s pregnancy and confirmed that she was already three months along.Having difficulty choosing her daughter’s name at first, Halle revealed to Access Hollywood, “We didn’t have a name picked out until just before we left the hospital.” “For us it was hard to name the most important person in our life until we met her,” Berry adds.
After meeting their beautiful daughter, the couple finally decided on the name Nahla Ariela Aubry.
According to PEOPLE, Aubry’s family is “so happy about the baby news” and cannot wait to meet to the newest member of their family, as Gabriel’s older sister reveals to PEOPLE.
